The World Muslim Choral Ensemble (WMCE), the second phase of the Muslim Choral Ensemble (MCE) established in Sri Lanka, was launched at the Lionel Wendt Theatre in Colombo on 18th July 2022

Arts have proven to be a unique medium that connects societies, drawing together people and communities from all walks of life to relate to the magnificence found within the soul of art and cultural diversity. The objective of the WMCE is to bring together artistes from all parts of the world to celebrate the rich global heritage of Islamic music.
